Jeff's Ball

I made this during my 2D animation bootcamp. It was for 24 hours over the span of four days. We did classical animation, so we used light tables and such. It was a lot of fun; I learned a hell of a lot about animating, storyboarding, layouts, etc. And importantly it completely made me realize this is what I want to do for my career. Damn straight.

So, we had to do a bouncing ball anijam with all of the kids in the class. Essentially, that meant that the ball had to travel from one person's drawing to the other, and so on. This was my section. It's about 50 frames long, and since it is 24 frames per second it lasts for 2 seconds. The ball is just killing Jeff. Yep. The best part about choosing Jeff the Killer was that the person before me, ~Amos608, had a portrait of Slenderman on his hallway wall. Then the ball went to the kitchen where Jeff was. Ohohoho.

We didn't have the time to fill in the characters, so that's why you can see the background through Jeff and the ball. It would've taken a while to fill in the frames and we only had four days. Also the computer we were scanning to kept crashing on the last day so the last half of my animation was darker than the beginning and there were lines through the screen. I edited it on Photoshop to fix the brightness but you can still see the lines a tad.

I'm probably going to do more animations in the future now that I understand it. So much fun. :3
